As a family law lawyer for more than 15 years, I have focused my practice on helping clients navigate family disputes while balancing their goal of achieving a lasting, fair and efficient resolution. In helping clients to achieve the best outcome possible for them, I use the full range of available options including negotiation, mediation, litigation and arbitration. My goal is always to understand and respect the needs of each client so that I can guide them through their options and help them to choose the best process to resolve their family law dispute.

My overriding message to clients is the importance of resolving matters as quickly as possible mindful of the harm that is done to parties, and in particular their children, by hostile and lengthy proceedings. I have always aimed to guide my clients through a difficult and stressful time in their lives with understanding, support, and practical advice.

I practice exclusively family law and am highly skilled and experienced at litigating family law matters in the courts. Whenever possible I assist my clients to resolve their family law dispute outside of court, but when a court Application is the only or best way to proceed, you need an experienced lawyer who specializes in family litigation on your side.

As an accredited and skilled family mediator and collaborative family law lawyer, I am able to bring my experience, skill and knowledge of family law to assist clients in arriving at fair, balanced and respectful resolutions.

I completed my undergraduate degree at York University, and my law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School. Upon graduation, I articled at a Bay Street law firm specializing in family law and was called to the Bar in 2003.

I am an active member of the Peel Law Association, the Halton County Law Association, the Ontario Association of Family Mediators, the Peel Halton Collaborative Family Law Association, and the Oakville Mediators Group.
