Stephen Morgan is a senior family law lawyer whose practice focusses on respect and understanding the needs of each client. Stephen is dedicated to helping his clients arrive at fair, cost-effective and practical resolutions to their family law disputes. He utilizes any and all means, whether it be mediation, counselling, arbitration or court processes, to move matters forward to resolution in the most efficient way possible for each client. Moreover, Stephen is committed to assisting all kinds of families.
Stephen’s overriding message to clients is the importance of resolving matters as quickly as possible, mindful of the damage that is done to clients, and particularly their children, by hostile and lengthy court proceedings. Stephen has a particular interest and sensitivity in dealing with the impact of separation on clients coming out of long-term relationships. With many years of experience behind him, Stephen is motivated to guide clients through a difficult and stressful time in their lives with understanding, support and practical advice.
Stephen graduated from York University, Summa Cum Laude, and obtained his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. Upon his graduation Stephen articled at a Bay Street law firm specializing in family law and was called to the Bar in 2003. In addition to his family law practice, Stephen has a strong interest in the rights of the elderly and he has done work on behalf of the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly and for the Canadian Civil Liberties Association.
Stephen maintains professional memberships with the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Peel Law Association, and the Peel Halton Collaborative Family Law Association.
